James attended undergraduate Theatre studies at Adelphi University focusing on acting, but quickly spread out from there to directing, costume design, and sound editing. He has worked non-stop on various artistic pursuits throughout his life, and does his best to use his position to give a platform to historically underrepresented voices.
James started the production company Public Domain Players in 2019 in an effort to rework and re-envision classic stories into modernized, fully-realized audio productions. He also runs The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer, Inc., along with his parents, which they founded after losing his sister Sarah to cancer as a child. James feels compelled every day to do his part to make the world a better place for all, and believes the power of community is one of the strongest movements there is.
